Many of my students say they have difficulty copying and pasting material into the text box. When they do, material does not display or show up once submitted. Is this a browser issue or is there another solution I should be mentioning to students?

      Hi Melanie,

It can be a combination of things. Some browsers have settings to block copying and pasting into browsers because of security issues. This has become more prevalent with browser hijacks, malware, etc. If they are having trouble pasting into the blackboard form, they should check browser security settings to make sure clipboard access is not disabled. See page for details. I haven’t seen this issue with Firefox the same as I do with IE.

Now if they are able to paste, but after submitting it doesn’t show up, they should try and paste in the text in the html field (press angle brackets on toolbar ). This may lose the formatting, but it will paste the text. Hope this helps.
